It's been a long time since I posted. I definately update Facebook photo albums much more often...
Anyway, I'm trying to think of some updates or amusing things the kids have said or done lately. Kjersten's learning the "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth" song... very relevent since she lost both front teeth and it's so near Christmas. She already knows that the toothfairy isn't really, which I think is kind of sad! :( A 5th grader at her school told her it's really parents that put money under the pillows and so she asked me about it. Bummer! I would've liked to have kept her in the dark about that one for awhile. Anyway, she's in girl scouts this year and so far enjoying that a lot. This past sunday the regional group of girl scouts went roller skating, so we went to a rink for the first time ever. I think Tianna was more of a fan, since she doesn't get so thrown off by things when she's not successful right away. But Kjersten had made some good improvement by the end of the day.

Nathaniel's definately a 2 1/2 year old. He's still a generally easy going kid, but adament that many foods are "YUCK!!!" at the sight of them. He climbs up steps holding just one hand now, when encouraged, and is able to take off his lower body clothes when encouraged to and occasionally when not encouraged to. For a little while there he was having a bit of a hard time falling asleep at night and there were a couple of times we came upstairs to find Nathaniel asleep in some very unsual places... on the kitchen floor and under the coffee table... rather than in his bed. Nathaniel still loves cars and is intersted in tools too... very 'boy' in his interests.

Tianna's had some funny comments lately. She was having trouble at one choir practice with sitting up and listening to her teacher (what a shocker). Her teacher felt that she was mostly doing it as an attention- getting thing (entirely plausable). When I asked Tianna about it, she said she was tired and that's why she was lying down. So a couple sundays ago her choir sang in church. Before she went to warm-up I reminded her to make sure she watched her teacher the whole time and had good listening ears, etc. No lying down, etc. Well, she did a pretty good job for the first song. Early into the second and final song that they sang, I noticed Tianna had sat down, and being in the second row I couldn't see her very well. As they came out of church she came up to me and commented about, "Mommy, I didn't lie down this time!!" She made a similar comment after her last choir rehearsal too. I guess now i need to remind her to not sit down either, if her peers are still standing up.
